Bobby Bognar was born on May 28, 1970, at Fort Bragg Army Hospital in Fayetteville, NC, the son of Frank and Maryann Bognar.

Bobby attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and majored in theatre performance. While attending VCU, he sang lead for rock band Hanover Fiske. He left school to move to Los Angeles and form The Piper Downs.

Bobby Bognar currently resides in Hollywood, CA, still performing solo and with The Piper Downs.
